Louis Moreau Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot 2013
Louis Moreau Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot 2013
Due to its exposure, Grand Cru Blanchot fully benefits from a morning sun that gives it a great delicacy and a very fruity nose. In mouth, it is a very fat wine, whose nice volume develops mushrooms, undergrowth and white flowers notes.

Located in the Northern part of Burgundy, 180 km (100 miles) away from Paris going South/East, Chablis vineyard appellation covers 4800 hectares over 19 villages. Made up of 100% Chardonnay grapes, its unique character is due to a soil called Kimmeridgien, composed of calcareous and clay layers.
The Moreau family presence in Chablis starts at the beginning of the XIX century when, in 1814, Joseph Moreau came from Montbard and established himself as a cooper. In 1904, Jean-Joseph (3rd generation) brought a plot called “Clos des Hospices” within Grand Cru Les Clos to the Chablis Hospital. This plot has been a family monopole since then.
Since 1994, Jean-Jacques has left the direction of the family estates to his son Louis who represents the 6th generation of Moreau and leads Domaine Louis Moreau.
