Peter Schweiger Zöbinger Kogelberg Grüner Veltliner 2022
The Kogelberg shows a light greenish yellow and the typical flavours of apples and citrus. The crisp acidity and the clear style provide the very lively character and the finesse of this Grüner Veltliner.

The Schweiger winery is located in the village of Zöbing, situated in the south of the Kamptal which is one of the finest wine growing regions in Austria. According to the Austrian wine law, the “Kamptal DAC” appellation stands for wines only made of Grüner Veltliner or Riesling – either in a classic, fruit-driven style (DAC Klassik) or the richer, more full-bodied style (DAC Reserve). Peter Schweiger and his son Peter Junior pay particular attention to using environmentally friendly and sustainable cultivation
methods in the vineyards, showing great respect and appreciation for soil and nature.
The labels on Peter Schweiger’s wines represent the philosophy: The compass stands for the bond with the region. The clock epitomizes their intention to give the wines as much time as possible to mature. Following this credo, the first wines of a certain vintage will not be released before the month of April (“IV”).
