Our winemaking philosophy is to search out and work with the very best vineyards that Provence has to offer and to put together a winemaking team that is one of the most accomplished in their field. By assembling international as well as local talent we have ensured that we employ the most current winemaking techniques from around the world, while tapping into a talented pool of winemakers that exist locally.
Provence leads the world in producing dry, gastronomic rosé wines and though the region may boast 300 days of sunshine every year, there can be dramatic vintage variations across this large and geographically diverse wine producing area.
Therefore, we have developed multiple relationships with some of the best growers in the region, covering over 1,250 hectares (3,000 acres) of prime Côtes de Provence vineyards and giving us access to fantastic fruit from different locations.
To help us pick the top bins from these vineyards, we have put together some incredible expertise in our winemaking team which is lead by Jo Ahearne, who is not only a Master of Wine (who chose to do her dissertation on rosé), but who is also a fully qualified oenologist, having studied in the Barossa Valley in Australia.
We’ve also recruited some local talent in Nathalie Longefay who, as a native of the region, has chosen to specialise in rosé and has notched up some incredibly high scoring wines from the likes of Robert Parker. Nathalie has relentless focus and attention to detail and keeps an eye on all aspects of winemaking from grape to glass, constantly looking for improvements to be made.
