Bodegas la Horra Corimbo I 2017
Tasting Note
Wine from vines over 70 years old.
CORIMBO I is the stellar wine of Bodegas LA HORRA, voluminous and at the same time fine and elegant. Coming from vineyards over 70 years old and made from 100% Tempranillo grape variety.
Colour:
Deep, intense layer, with cherry red background and red edge.
Nose:
It is intense with a profile of ripe black fruits, among which blackberry and plum stand out. You can see a bunch of dried aromatic herbs that release their aromas. There are mineral notes of India ink damp earth that mix with the aniseed smell of some mushrooms. The aroma of tobacco and cocoa form a whole with notes of cherries in liquor.
Taste:
Wine with a sensation of volume and fullness. The black fruits come out, at the same time with a liquorish sensation from a warm vintage and the usual freshness of the CORIMBO I. The tannin is present, but it is very fine, giving an elegant Ribera del Duero as a whole. In the palate, there is a perception of a certain fresh sweetness, very pleasant. The whole is very tasty, reminiscent of a concentrated and perfectly clarified consommé. The bottle years have been great, and it is a great image of the 2017 vintage in the Ribera del Duero of Burgos, between the late frost of April 28th and the warm, dry and early year.
