Sangiovese

Italy's most popular red wine grape is known for its enegetic acidity, lip-smacking sour cherry flavours and herbal notes. Sangiovese wines can be light and fruity, or full-bodied and tannic, depending on the region where they're produced. Chianti is one of the most famous Sangiovese wines.

Being medium bodied, Chianti & other Sangiovese wines pair with a wide range of foods, especially tomato and herb based dishes which brings out the fruitiness in the wine. Sangiovese is also a vegetarian's friend, working well with Mediterranean foods and roast veggies.
